Day 01: Delhi arrival
On your arrival at Delhi, you will receive a warm welcome from our representatives who will receive you at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. You will be transferred to a hotel at Delhi where you will relax and after that you can have a tour around the city in a relaxed mood to enjoy its beauty. In the evening you will be served with scrumptious dinner and then you will have a night stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Agra – Bharatpur
It is a day packed with schedule. In the morning after the breakfast, we will drive to Agra where we will be visiting the magnificent Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is a wonderful example of Indo-Persian art and architecture. This monument was built by Emperor Shah in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. It is believed that Taj Mahal is the outcome of one of the four promises that Shah Jahan made to his wife Mumtaz Mahal while she lay dying. It is a site which is a must visit for all true lovers. After visiting Taj Mahal we will be visiting other monuments like the Agra Fort. From there, we will be visiting Keoladeo National Park formerly known as the Ghana Bird Sanctuary at Bharatpur. Bharatpur is about 65 km form Agra and it will take around 1 hour on road. On the way to Bharatpur, we will be visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the town built by Emperor Akbar. The famous Bulland Darwaza, which was built by Akbar in 1601 AD to commemorate the victory of Gujarat is located in Fatehpur Sikri. It is the highest gateway in the world.The tomb of Seikh Salim Chisti, the famous Sufi saint is also located at Fatehpur Sikri. After arriving at Bharatpur, we will check-in to a Forest lodge and spent the night there.
Day 03: Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
After having our morning breakfast at the resort, we will be watching birds in the sanctuary either walking or by a boating through the marshes. You will be assisted by a guide who will give you an insight into the habits of the various species of birds. One can make the experience even more enjoyable by traveling in a rickshaw or a bicycle. Bharatpur has more than 300 species of birds which include Eagles, Cranes, Geese, Ducks, Hawks, Flycatchers, Shanks, Pipits, Stints, Wagtails, Warblers, Wheatears, Buntings, Larks and Pelicans etc. At Bharatpur, you will be visiting other places like Government Museum and the Palace. In the evening we will return to the resort where you will be having your lunch and then you will have a night stay at Bharatpur.
Day 04: Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
Right from the morning after the breakfast, we will continue our exploration on birds. We will also see the Flora and Fauna which are exhibited in the sanctuary. In the evening we will return to the resort to have our dinner. We will have a night stay again at this resort.
Day 05: Bharatpur – Delhi
In the morning, we will have our breakfast and enjoy a morning visit to the park. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Delhi, from where you will be transferred to Indira Gandhi International Airport for your outward journey towards home.
