Day 01: Arrival in Mumbai
On your arrival at the Mumbai International Airport, you will be received by our tour representative who will also be in charge of transferring you to the hotel where you will be spending the night.
Day 02: Mumbai
On the second day of the Architecture Tour of India, you will be embarking on a sightseeing tour of Mumbai post breakfast. You will be visiting the Elephanta Caves by a motor launch that will start from the Gateway of India. The origin of these rock-cut caves can be traced back to the 7th century and have been listed under the World Heritage Sites.
The evening is devoted to visits to the Prince of Wales Museum and the Hanging Gardens which is also popularly referred to as the Ferozeshah Mehta Garden. Among the other popular attractions that you will get to pay visit to are included the Victoria Terminus and the Mahalaxmi Temple. You can also devote some time to shopping. The night is to be spent at the hotel.
Day 03: Mumbai – AURANGABAD (By Flight)
On the third day of the Architecture Tour of India, you will be boarding the morning flight to Aurangabad from the Mumbai Domestic Airport. You will be met by our representative after arriving at Aurangabad.
In the afternoon, you will be paying a visit to the Ellora caves. These caves, located at a distance of 30 kilometers from the North West of the city, dates back to 350 A.D to 700 A.D. These are also listed as World Heritage site. You will be returning back to the hotel for the night stay.
DAY 04: AURANGABAD - Ajanta Caves Excursions
On the fourth morning of the Indian Architecture Tour, you will be embarking on an excursion to the Ajanta caves. The cave walls are graced with carvings and engravings that depict the story from the life of Lord Buddha and the Jataka Tales. The caves were initially built to serve as the residence of the Buddhist monks who taught in the adjoining Chaityas and Viharas. The night stay is scheduled at the hotel.
DAY 05: AURANGABAD – DELHI (BY FLIGHT)
On the fifth day of the Architecture Tour of India Package, you will be boarding a flight to Delhi today. On your arrival there, you will be received by our tour representative who will also be in charge of transferring you to the hotel where you will be spending the night.
DAY 06: DELHI
Day six of the Architecture Tour of India, will be spent touring Old and New Delhi. Delhi is dotted with architectural marvels. Among the popular landmarks of the city are included the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, Laxmi Narayan Temple and Rajghat. You will also be able to catch a glimpse of the President's House, Parliament House and India Gate as you drive past them. You may also like to browse through the shops lining the different bazaars of Delhi. The night is to be spent at the hotel.
DAY 07: DELHI – VARANASI (By Flight)
The seventh day of the tour sees you boarding the morning flight to Varanasi. You will be met by our representative at the Airport. On your way to Varanasi, you will be visiting Sarnath. You are required to check in at the Hotel in Varanasi where you will be spending the night.
DAY 08: VARANASI
Venerated as one of the holiest cities in India, Varanasi is dotted with a number of ghats. Among the popular temples present here are included the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, Durga Mandir, Sankat Mochan Mandir, and Tulsi Manas Mandir.
Watching the evening aarti ritual on the bank of the Ganges is an experience in itself. You will be coming back to the hotel for spending the night.
Day 09: Varanasi – Khajuraho (BY FLIGHT)
On the ninth day, you will be boarding the flight to Khajuraho. You will be meeting our tour representative at the airport and he will be responsible for transferring you to the Hotel in Khajuraho. You will immensely enjoy the light and sound show in the evening. The night stay is scheduled at the hotel.
Day 10: Khajuraho
In the morning, you will be paying visits to group of the renowned Chandela dynasty temples that are remarkable for their erotic sculptures and carvings. Consecrated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu, the Western Group of Temples in Khajuraho constitutes the Kandariya Mahadeo temple, the Lakshmana Temple, the Matangesvara Temple and the Varaha Temple. The night is to be spent at the hotel.
Day 11: Khajuraho – Orchha – Gwalior
On the eleventh day of the Architecture Tour of India, you will find yourself driving to Gwalior in the morning and visiting Orcha along the way. Visits to Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal, Chaturbhuj Temple, Laxminarayan Temple and Chhatris (Cenotaphs) in Orcha are scheduled. On your arrival at Gwalior, you will be checking in at the hotel.
Day 12: Gwalior – Agra
Today, you will be embarking on a sight seeing tour in Gwalior. We will be accompanying you on a visit to the Gwalior Fort and the Museum that are considered the two most popular places to be visited in Gwalior.
We will be heading towards Agra the same day by road. The night stay is scheduled at the hotel in Agra.
Day 13: Agra
The thirteenth day of the tour gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Taj at sunrise. The Red Fort is located a few kilometers away from Taj Mahal and is counted among yet another architectural marvel. A visit to Itmad-ud-Daula’s Tomb would give you valuable insights into Mughal architecture. The night is to be spent at the hotel.
Day 14: Agra - Jaipur
You will find yourself driving towards Jaipur in the morning. Along the way, you get to visit the famous Mughal town of Fatehpur Sikri, Jama Masjid, The Buland Darwaza, Palace of Jodha Bai, Birbal Bhawan and the Panch Mahal. On reaching Jaipur, you are required to check in at the hotel. The night is to be spent at the hotel.
Day 15: Jaipur
Among the places that warrant a special visit in Jaipur are included the Amber Fort, the City Palace and the Observatory. The night is to be spent at the hotel.
Day 16: Jaipur – Mumbai (BY FLIGHT)
On day sixteenth, you will be driving from Jaipur to Mumbai. You will be met by our representative at the airport which is followed by your transference to the hotel.
Day 17: Departure from Mumbai
The seventeenth day brings you to the end of the Architecture Tour of India. You will be checking out from the hotel and our representative would transfer you to the International airport.
